What we check and do before we stain.

Decks and exterior stairs take more abuse than almost anything else on a house. Before we sand or stain anything, we check for soft spots, rot and loose fasteners — because a good finish on structurally sound wood is what makes the project last. We clean the surface, let it dry properly and apply a stain or sealer suited to the wood type and exposure.
